The owners of the “Echo Forest Lodge” had quite definite ideas for the structure and layout of this stunning home, and developing their ideas was critical in the planning stages of the project.
Paramount to the overall design were the ceiling lines of the open plan kitchen & living area. The end result of extensive planning, coupled with the materials chosen by the owners is in a room that is truly breathtaking. The ceilings soar to a height of 4.3m with a stunning, hand crafted, spotted gum rustic beam. Natural InfinitiStone Rusty Limestone cladding is a feature of the internal fire place, and the enclosure for the Esse wood burning oven. Raked Highlight windows sit over the sliding doors onto the alfresco area and the windows alongside the fire place.
A custom designed and constructed breakfast booth, Custom kitchen cabinetry with granite bench tops, reclaimed timber island bench and highlight timber cupboards complete the overall appeal of this living area.
The children’s bedrooms are in a separate wing of the home, and each is complete with a WIR and ensuite.
The master bedroom continues the soaring ceilings and raked windows featured in the living area/kitchen. The master wing of the home is complete with a generous ensuite including a spa bath separate WC, and a large WIR. A separate study doubles as a separate TV area/parents retreat.
Soaring external gables clad with Colorbond corrugated iron in “Terrain” color, highlight the rustic nature of the verandah ceilings, with their large timber fenestrations and exposed beams.
This home is a stunning blend of rustic charm and luxurious features, perfectly suited to the equestrian property on which it is located.
