Cliff Cottage

Located in the desirable beachside suburb of Frankston South, “Cliff Cottage” was an appealing, although ramshackle and outdated home. Varying floor and ceiling levels had resulted from lean-to extensions, although the floor plan was essentially functional and practical.

A complete external refurbishment including a new, double car garage with undercover access to the front entry, fibre cement weatherboards, new Colorbond roof and double-glazed composite aluminium/timber windows has given this home a crisp modern feel, whilst still retaining the yesteryear character.

Internally, the home layout was tweaked to meet the owner’s needs. Two ensuite bathrooms were added, and the existing kitchen, laundry and bathroom fittings were replaced. All floor coverings were replaced, except for the existing Vic Ash flooring which was extended to fit the altered floor plan, and then restored to its former glory.

The original brick chimney was retained as an external feature, and the original brick fireplace adds loads of character to the master bedroom.
