We embarked on a journey to create an American-style home on our strawberry farm, and we already had plenty of ideas in mind. After much research on who best to help us create our dream, we came across Farm Houses of Australia and Doug and Sandy, who shared our excitement and contributed their own ideas to create our dream.

We loved that the planning and construction were handled by the same people, which made it easy to make changes during the building process. Our goal was to have a comfortable and homely home with all the design elements we wanted, and we are thrilled with the result. Even after living in it for a while, we still can’t believe it’s ours.

Despite starting construction in November 2019, right before Victorian lockdowns began, Doug and his team managed to avoid any delays. They were always available for communication and happy to answer any questions we had as first-time home builders. We enjoyed visiting the site and seeing the progress, as well as having casual conversations with Doug and Sandy about the construction.

The quality of workmanship is clear in our home, which has proven resilient through recent unpredictable and extreme weather. We receive many compliments on our beautiful home, and we are still so impressed every time we drive up our road.
