Helen and I wanted to thank you for the wonderful experience we had in our home design and building project. Considering the many challenges we faced with our local council and the need to do a complete re-design, the result we achieved was fantastic. In fact, upon reflection, we think the second design turned out far better than the first. We are extremely delighted with the result and marvel at it on almost a daily basis.

Having the 3D pictures generated as part of the design process certainly helped us with understanding what would or would not work, making definitive choices, and getting the design right for us and our needs. It also helped generate new ideas along the way. Sandy was always very responsive, professional, eager to help and a delight to work with.

One of the most important things which helped us during the construction stage was the open communication Doug offered. Nothing was too much trouble and he always dealt with things in such a way that made us feel at ease. Doug was very encouraging of us giving him a call directly whenever something came up. He always had everything under control, even when we threw in a few challenges along the way.

Doug’s extended team was fantastic. Whenever we made a trip out to the building site, the guys were very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. We’re already missing those early morning visits to the site during the week where we ran through our updated list of questions and decisions. It was always great fun to see the progress made and if we had the choice we would have stayed there all day rather than go to work!

The quality of workmanship was second to none. Not only have we been impressed with the result but numerous friends and family who have seen the final result have said the very same to us.

I would recommend Farm Houses of Australia because it gave us somewhere to start with our existing ideas and then work through them to a design that worked perfectly for us. The process was relaxed but professional and the wealth of knowledge certainly helped fill the gaps when we were unsure. We have and will continue to recommend Farm Houses of Australia because quite simply the way Doug runs the building project works extremely well and if we do build again, Farm Houses will be our one and only choice.
