The exterior façade was particularly important to the overall design, and the owners had a clear vision of the elements they wished to include. The original brief was for a home of a “New American” style with a recessed front porch, arched colonial windows on the top floor, 2 bay windows at the front, and a mixture of materials in the façade. These elements, along with a 35 degree pitched roof is an integral part of the final design outcome.
Traditional internal features such as dado wall lining, plaster arches, and ceiling roses, Vic Ash timber flooring, and bespoke fittings and cabinetry were critical elements in the vision of the clients. Being allowed the freedom to select all aspects of their home has enabled the owners to achieve the elegance, quality, and style of home they envisaged.
